From what I have found this is likely original to a vintage MG car. This is a vintage Smiths 140 MPH speedometer. Don't miss this awesome example. The odometer also works.

This came to me in a large lot of vintage parts from an estate so I don't know the original application. There is a sticker on the side with part number SN 5226 as shown. The lens is clean and clear. It was carefully wrapped up and boxed so the owner certainly cared about it.

The front bezel is also very nice with no dings or dents and not pitting on the chrome. The dial is very nice with no damage or corrosion.
