The face is very clean with a bright, vibrant dial and clear, crack free lens. Yank built super cars are well known for having Stewart Warner 970 series pedestal tach installed in them. The model number is 970J. The last few pictures shown this tach while being testing with the indicator needle at different RPM readings.
I have a number of different ignition monitors for this tach in my other listings. This is an awesome and very hard to find vintage tachometer. This tach is in very good un restored condition as shown. Due to the cost, not many of these tach were made and even fewer survive today.

This is a real deal Stewart Warner 8,000 RPM Pedestal Tachometer. This listing is for the tachometer described above only. The mounting foot has awesome chrome and both clamp tabs in good condition as shown. These tach were known as being some of the most reliable and accurate on market carried a price that reflected fact.
The chrome housing very nice with awesome shine and reflection no pitting. If a fellow hot odder looked in your car and saw SW tach or gauges, he knew you were force to be reckoned with.
