This tach is a real deal speed part from the mid 60's. The part number printed on the back of tach is x0908, first two numbers have surface corrosion over them as shown. This tach has been tested and works flawlessly throughout the RPM band with no sticking or hesitation. This is a vintage 10,000 RPM Stewart Warner Tachometer.
The 10,000 RPM Twin Blue tach is a rare and elusive unit. The last few pictures show this tach being tested with the indicator needle at different points on dial. The lens is real glass with no cracks or scratching. The design is known as Twin Blue due to the two shade of blue on dial.
The face is bright and Chris with awesome graphics. This came to me with a bunch of other New Old Stock gauges. The label on the inside of lens is deteriorated but legible as shown. SW instruments have always been well known for being dependable, accurate, and easy on the eyes.
The front bezel is very nice with great shine/reflection and no pitting. This is an awesome true vintage tachometer. If a fellow hot odder looked in your car and saw SW tach or gauges, he knew you were force to be reckoned with.
